The Wald Ranch is a true working family ranch surrounded by rugged hill country and sweeping views of the Big Horn Mountains. Guests can be as active or enactive as they want to be!  There’s always something happening on the ranch. You may wish to go on a scenic hike and bring a picnic basket along or you might just enjoy a quiet spot on the porch to finish that good book you started. Only an hour’s drive away is Sheridan, Wyoming, which offers museums, two summer rodeos, restaurants, and shopping in an authentic old west atmosphere. Near-by Harden, boasts a “Western Town” museum, and is the location of the historic “Custer Battle Field”. There is a summer Custer Battle Reenactment, Native American “Crow Fair” festival in August, and world class fly fishing along the beautiful Big Horn River. But most of all, folks enjoy our simple piece and quiet.

Our private and spacious guest rooms are located on the first floor of our modern log home. All meals are served family style. The trend in bed & breakfast’s these days has been to provide only light, continental style meals. Not so at our home! Donna Wald is an award winning master in the kitchen. Her recipes are in such demand that she has published a cookbook of her most popular chuck wagon favorites. No one who visits the Wald Ranch ever leaves hungry!
